We’re gearing up for Fall and the Holidays here at Impress!

When we rolled out our embossed rolling pins 2 years ago I made pins for fall, for Christmas, with snowflakes, etc. I wanted to hit all the themes of those seasons. I’m honored and happy that the pins are so well-liked and have done well! This summer I decided to up my game and add to those initial fall-winter offerings with a new line of pins that have bigger and/or more intricate designs. (The pins themselves are the same size, the designs on them are bigger.)

These eight new pins share similar motifs and some familiar “Impress” designs, many of which draw inspiration from my cookie press disks. For these pins, though, I went with larger shapes to fill in the areas of big cookies with bold patterns (as opposed to the daintier originals from 2022).

One of my FAVORITE things to do with rolled cookies is make them into sandwich cookies, and these bigger designs were literally designed for them. While the big shapes look great on big cookies, they also now fill the space of our 1 3/4″ cookie cutters. I measured as I designed so these new patterns would look great on large cookies and so that individual shapes would fit into but also fill the 1 3/4″ space. So instead of a sandwich cookie with Santa, a candy cane and a gift, now a big Santa, candy cane, or gift each fit on their own cookie! Both ways are beautiful, its just personal preference which you prefer! The new big designs are easier to paint with luster dust if you use that technique.

Fall Leaves Large Designs Embossed Rolling Pin

I am honestly so proud of this one. I brought all of my love of nature into these leaves. As a nature photographer, one of my favorite subjects is colorful leaves in fall, so I had a lot of inspiration from years of photography to draw on! I’m thrilled with the detail in these cuts. They are just gorgeous plain or painted! Each of these big leaf shapes nestles perfectly into our 1 3/4″ cookie cutters for perfect sandwich cookies.

Halloween Large Designs Embossed Rolling Pin

I used many of the same Halloween motifs as the original pin and added some new ghosts and bats. These big shapes also fill the sandwich cookie cutters perfectly, and are also easy to paint.

Spooky Skies! Ghosts & Bats Embossed Rolling Pin

While working on the Halloween pin I got a bit silly and caught up in the ghosts and bats flying around! I was inspired by how fun they were all on their own, so on a whim I created a whole sky full of ghosts and bats! I love the feeling of movement the pattern makes! I imagine this would look fabulous painted with all of the Halloween purples, greens, and oranges. Imagine a sky full of colorful whimsical ghosts and bats!

Snowflakes Large Fancy Designs Embossed Rolling Pin

For the snowflakes pin I really went all out in creating new snowflake shapes, some of which I liked so much I turned them into our new cookie press disk set “More Snowflakes”. SO that was an unexpected bonus from this project! LOL This new snowflakes pin is much more embellished with smaller interspaced snowflakes and overall a fuller, bolder design. I hope you all love it as much as I do! It’s a personal favorite for sure.

Snowflakes & Woodland Pine Trees Embossed Rolling Pin

Snowflakes and Woodland Pine Trees is an update to the original Snowflakes & Pine Trees pin. It features the new embellished snowflakes and also more artistic, woodland-inspired trees. Another personal favorite inspired by our beautiful home state of Colorado!

Christmas Large Designs Embossed Rolling Pin

This Christmas Pin really pops! The designs just jump right out at you. Absolutely darling plain, and a breeze to decorate.

Thanksgiving Large Designs Embossed Rolling Pin

Again, larger designs! There are lots of little details in this pin, too. Acorns and apples and fall leaves scattered between the big shapes.

Pumpkins & Gourds Large Designs Embossed Rolling Pin

Larger designs once more! Just bigger pumpkins and gourds, and soooo easy to paint!
