Dear loyal customers, friends, and fans of Impress! Cookie Press Disks. It is with a heavy heart that I announce that we will be closing the company. My (Susie the Disk Designer’s) daughter was diagnosed with a serious medical condition last fall. The last few months have been worrisome, stressful, and time consuming. To be honest there was very little time to even think about Impress. Given that she is going to need my help for some time to come, I am not going to be able to run the business for the foreseeable future. In the back of my mind I am tucking away the possibility of re-starting sometime in the future, once things have settled down. For now, I need to close this life chapter to focus on my daughter and work in ways that are more flexible and less demanding. Running Impress is a full-time endeavor that takes time, hard work, and an insane schedule every fall/winter Holiday Season! The support and enthusiasm you all have shown for our disks has always been amazing and heart-warming. It has been a terribly difficult decision to stop, as this project is one of my “babies” too. This “Creative Cookie Press” blog will stay up, as I feel I owe all of you that access to the recipes and tips and troubleshooting. The videos will also stay up on our YouTube channel, “Impress! Cookie Press Disks”. I may not respond quickly anymore, but I will do my best to keep answering comments on both sites. Hopefully the future will allow me to restart someday and go back to creating new disk designs and yummy recipes. For now, Jill and I want to thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts, for your business, your enthusiasm, and giving us the joy of running this fun company for the last 4+ years. Wishing you all the Happiest of Baking, Susie & Jill, Co-Owners/Founders Impress! Bakeware, LLC
I looked for your update at Christmas time and did wonder why we did not get anything new from you. Bless you and your daughter. I hope things are OK for you. Take the time and do what you need for your daughter.

If you need anything send and email and Onwill send you me phone number. I had a small business just getting started where Ineas just getting the name out there and my son took I’ll… what choose was there. He came first.
May God put His arms around your Daughter and let her know she is loved… I will pray for her daily. I could call the Temple but they want a first name.

Thanks for the well wishes Bobbie it’s much appreciated! We actually don’t disclose how we make the disks that’s proprietary. I can tell you, though it is a LOT of work to design disks that press right. It took an enormous amount of hours to get all of our 200+ designs right. Over two years of R & D went into our designs and manufacturing processes before we even sold a single disk! Hopefully we will be able to re-open someday as we poured our hearts into this company. ~Susie

Sorry to hear about your daughter. Life can throw curves. I hope she recovers fully. I also hope it will allow you to start up again, as I do love my disks I did buy. I had hoped to buy more for my daughters who are now baking but live to faraway to share with each other. Take care and please post how she is.

I’ve just discovered your product, and was hoping to find and purchase a disk for making traditional Southern cheese straws, if you have ever had such a disk. My mother, who was from Atlanta, GA, always made extra sharp cheddar cheese straws at Christmas with a Mirro cookie press, and I am very sentimental about wanting to make them myself.
I understand that you have experienced some major life transitions recently, and have closed your business for fall 2018/winter 2019, but I hope all is well with you and your family now, and that you will be back in business again soon.
My grown daughter has her Grandma Ann’s old Mirro press and disks now, but we live across the country from each other, so aren’t able to make cookies together very easily.

Hi Susie, I was sad to hear about your daughter, and also to hear that you had to close the business. I hope your family is doing better, and wish you the best.
I was going to order some discs, but procrastinated, and thought I missed my chance. I am happy to say that I just looked on Amazon, and found a set of your discs that contained three of the discs I wanted to buy. Thank you for putting the last of the discs on Amazon. I can’t express enough gratitude! I was jumping with joy, to get another chance to purchase the discs! I am looking forward to trying them for Christmas.
Also, I had the same problem, finding the Mirro disc that Marcia described. . The Kuhn Rikon with the clear plastic press has the disc she is looking for. I had to buy the whole press, rather than just a disc.
